Faculty Biography
Dr. Douglas Hart is Chair of the Data Sciences Department in the College of Computer & Information Sciences. Prior to his Regis employment, Dr. Hart worked in research and development in the oil and gas exploration business where he developed machine learning algorithms for detecting patterns in seismic data. Dr. Hart has a Ph.D. from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, where he did early work in reinforcement learning.
